An art Gallery in Santa Monica. Seeing how it was after 9pm, they weren't open but I shot some stuff from outside the window.

Well, I guess you have to give it to this guy for seeing through what most of us would only joke about. Aram Bartholl has built a Google Maps Marker out of plywood and cloth, creating a sculture that breaks the boundries of google's satellite images and finds it's way into our 3 demensional space.

Artist Natalie Czech's Blattschnitte, from 2002 gives us a bird's eye look at the detritious created by human beings in their pursuit for cultural sophistication.

I found this amazing interview with tthe director of Pan's Labyrinth which got a 20-plus minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The director ttalks about working on big budget film, indie fiilmmaking, and even gives ua a look at his personal journals.
Worth watching whether you're a fan or have yet to discover this great filmmaker.

First off Renzo Piano is a genius.
In case you didn't know. In 2004, LACMA’s Board of Trustees unanimously approved plans to transform the museum with world-renowned architect Renzo Piano at the helm.
The idea of having his work in Los Angeles is an exciting idea. So for those of you unable to visit the construction site of the LACMA Here's a link to the 24 hour webcam.

Computer controlled colored lights fill 81 windows extending over 180 meters at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc.) Patterns are controlled by cellphone by any caller from any location, raising issues concerning private interaction and control of public spaces.
